Empowering 12 Local Governments: Advancing VLRs and SDG Roadmaps

URBANICE MALAYSIA is privileged to assist 12 local governments in developing their Voluntary Local Reviews (VLRs) and SDG Roadmaps for 2030. This workshop is part of a larger initiative funded under RMK12, covering 20 local authorities in total. The first five local governments completed their sessions last week, with another four scheduled for next week.

In this workshop, Yang Dipertua Majlis and representatives from each local authority are leading the development of strategies tailored to their unique contexts, embodying the principles of localizing the SDGs and empowering communities to chart a sustainable future forward.

Participating Local Governments:

  1. Majlis Perbandaran Jasin
  2. Majlis Daerah Tangkak
  3. Majlis Daerah Cameron Highlands
  4. Majlis Daerah Setiu
  5. Majlis Perbandaran Port Dickson
  6. Majlis Daerah Kuala Pilah
  7. Majlis Daerah Tanjong Malim
  8. Majlis Daerah Sabak Bernam
  9. Majlis Perbandaran Temerloh
  10. Majlis Daerah Tumpat
  11. Majlis Perbandaran Kangar
  12. Majlis Daerah Baling

Through this collaborative and bottom-up approach, each local government is empowered to define a sustainable path forward that aligns with both national and global goals.
