Malaysia Pavilion at WUF12: Showcasing Sustainability Starts at Home

MALAYSIA PAVILION AT WUF12 – ‘RUMAH MALAYSIA: It All Starts at Home’

At the World Urban Forum 12 (WUF12) in Cairo, Egypt, Malaysia proudly showcased its unwavering commitment to sustainable urban development. Led by URBANICE Malaysia as the coordinating agency for the Ministry of Housing & Local Government (KPKT), the Malaysia Pavilion, themed ‘RUMAH MALAYSIA: It All Starts at Home,’ welcomed over 8,000 visitors eager to explore Malaysia’s urban innovations and solutions.

The pavilion emphasized the powerful role of home, culture, and heritage in shaping identity and resilience, aligning with Malaysia’s vision for sustainable, inclusive cities. As a key feature of the WUF12 Urban Expo, the pavilion highlighted our achievements in housing, transportation, energy, waste management, public safety, and climate adaptation.

Through its theme, ‘It All Starts at Home,’ the Malaysia Pavilion shared core values in:

  • Progressing Malaysia Toward a Sustainable Urban Nation
  • The Importance of Home and Family
  • Embracing Malaysian Culture
  • Preserving Heritage
  • Building Stronger Communities
