UN-Habitat and URBANICE Malaysia,have agreed to collaborate in advancing the commitments of the 2030 Agenda at the local level and the implementation of the New Urban Agenda.

Both Parties recognizing the benefits of genuine, substantive cooperation and wishing to pursue such cooperation or strategic partnership, have entered into this Memorandum of Cooperation (MoC) in a spirit of trust and cooperation.

The collaboration between the Parties will be implemented with a focus on: (a) localization of the Sustainable Development Goals, including through global and national SDG Cities program and voluntary local reviews; (b) knowledge and capacity building through training, sharing resources and promoting national urban forums; and (c) technical support and scaling effective programs towards livability, sustainability and resiliency.

URBANICE Malaysia thank to Honourable Dato’ Sri Reezal Merican Naina Merican, Minister of Housing & Local Government (KPKT) and Honourable Dato’ Seri Maimunah Mohd Sharif, Executive Director of UN-Habitat witnessed the signing of the MoC.
